Year 3 had a wonderful time on Wednesday, exploring the delights of the local stately home, Boughton House. We were hosted by Charles Lister, who has lived on the estate for over 30 years and was extremely knowledgable. The children visited a range of rooms, from the Great Hall to the kitchen and the servants’ quarters to the stables. They were able to pay freely on the lawns in front of the Dower House after lunch. A special treat was to visit the Armoury, which is the most extensive collection outside the Tower Of London.
