The school has a governing body whose job it is to work closely with the Headteacher and Symphony Learning Trust Board in ensuring the smooth running of the school. The Governors help decide school policy, consult and advise on the curriculum, monitor finance, appoint staff, fix salaries, arbitrate on matters of discipline and generally take a full part in the life of the school.

The governing body has representatives from the Community, the teachers and staff and the parents. Parent governors are elected by the parents and serve a four year period. The governors meet every term to discuss school issues. All meetings are minuted and the minutes are available for inspection. Small sub committees meet regularly to oversee on-going issues.

Local Governing Body
Our Local Governing Body (LGB) is a committee of the full board of trustees of Symphony Learning Trust and is not its own legal entity. The level of delegation to Local Governing Bodies is kept under review by the board and may be varied through schemes of delegation, policies and procedures and amendments to the terms of reference.
